Privacy and refunds

Short, because this site collects almost nothing.

Last updated 18 September 2026

What this site collects

Nothing. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no cookies. Reading anything here — the translation, the notes, the search — sends nothing about you anywhere. The search runs inside your own browser on a list of verses the site already sent you, so what you type in it is never transmitted.

What your browser stores

Nothing either. The reader's settings — light or dark, and whether Jesus' words are shown in red — last only while the page is open, and reset when you reload. Nothing is saved on your device, and there is nothing to clear.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. That is standard for any website and is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google.

Giving

The Donate link at the foot of the home page goes to Stripe. If you choose to give, the payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their own page. Card details never reach this site and I never see them. Stripe collects what it needs to process the payment — typically your email address, your card details and your billing country — under Stripe's privacy policy.

What I can see afterwards, in Stripe's dashboard, is the amount, the date, your email address, the name on the card, and any message you chose to leave. I use it to know a gift arrived, to reply if you wrote something, and to keep my own records. It is not sold, shared or added to any mailing list. There is no mailing list.

Gifts are not tax-deductible

This is not a registered charity, so gifts are not tax-deductible and no donation receipts can be issued. Anything given is a gift toward the work, with nothing provided in exchange.

Refunds

If you change your mind, email me within 30 days and I will send it back — no explanation needed. The same goes for a mistake, such as giving $500 when you meant $50. Refunds go back to the card you used and usually take a few business days to appear.

Reaching me, and removing your information

Write to jon.pjcomputing@gmail.com for anything at all, including a copy of what I hold about you, or to have it deleted. Payment records I am required to keep for tax purposes are the one exception, and Stripe keeps its own records under its policy.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
